As you go to work every day, working hard to support your family, do you realize your labor is helping to fund things like the Japan-United States Friendship Commission, Migratory Bird Conservation Commission, and the Indian Arts and Crafts Board? Yeah, we knew you’d be excited about it too. We also examine a report card of Obama’s first 2 years in office. Here’s a hint: everything is moving in the wrong direction. We also discussed the Utah Compact and learn that not all Mormons in Utah see eye-to-eye with each other or the church leadership on the topic of Illegal Immigration. We finish up our lively discussion by learning about Congressman Davey Crockett’s (yes that one) hard-learned lesson about using government as a means to “do good” in society with tax payer money. This was not because of some nefarious activity, but simply because of a clerical error that occurred a decade ago. This error wouldn’t have impacted his continued service had a recently proposed Constitutional Amendment not been passed in the recent election.
