Our Special Guest for this Call for Freedom is Randall Hinton, He is a husband and a father who is concerned about where our country is going and how to return us to our constitutional moorings.

Randall’s passion for politics and economics became nearly insatiable five years ago when a friend introduced him to a little book entitled “The Law” by Frederic Bastiat.

Continued study of the principles of good government provided Randall with a solid foundation to begin sharing these principles with friends and associates. His passion for the founding principles of this country have set his feet on the quest that have lead him to this campaign for Utah’s 2nd Congressional District. The Founders were very concerned about special interest groups, or “factions,” and the destructive role they can play in breaking apart the Republic. In Federalist Paper No. 10, James Madison wrote about the danger factions pose when they have interests contrary to the rights of others or the interests of the whole community.
Listen in while we discuss how due to the recent horrific events in Haiti President Obama has committed $100 million in monetary aid by US tax payers. He has also expressed our country’s intention to help rebuild the nation over the long term. Historically, America has given trillions of dollars to foreign nations in the form of “aid” through the UN and other avenues, at the expense of the US tax payer. On this Call For Freedom we will analyze this pattern of aiding foreign nations via the government to determine if this is a legitimate use of governmental force.
