debtWho was the first President to completely pay off the national debt – George Washington, Andrew Jackson, or Theodore Roosevelt?

Answer: President Andrew Jackson (He did this primarily by selling off large tracts of public lands so that they could be cultivated and developed by individual citizens. He even had enough left over to distribute $28 million among the states.)
